Wakatipu Croquet Club
The Wakatipu Croquet Club is located in Kelvin Heights near Queenstown
We have excellent facilities and equipment and are welcoming to new members
Free Tuition and equipment is available for new players
CLUB FACILITIES
Excellent facilities in our own sheltered part of Jardine Park in Kelvin Heights.
We have 4 croquet lawns, each with player rest areas. The lawns are well-maintained and among the best in New Zealand.
Our clubhouse has a large meeting room, kitchen and toilets. We have an extensive store of equipment for club members' usage and there is ample parking space.
CLUB DAYS & TIMES
Members play informally together on Club Days. New members are welcome to come and try out croquet with us - free coaching and equipment are available. Just turn up on one of the following days. Free tea and coffee is available - you're welcome to bring your own lunch, full kitchen facilities and BBQ available.
Every Tuesday 10am to 4pm - AC only
Every Thursday 10am to 4pm - GC only
Every Saturday 10am to 4pm - GC & AC
(Winter starts at 11am)
Morning play is "casual" depending on numbers. Afternoon play is more organised so please come by 12.45pm to register for a 1pm start if you wish to play afternoon only
CLUB MEMBERSHIP
Members can come and play croquet anytime, as well as enjoying our extensive clubhouse facilities.
Want to learn ? Certainly, experienced club members are happy to coach you
Don't have your own mallet? No problem, we have plenty of club equipment that you can use.
Want to play in a competition? Sure - we have several of our own and inter-club competitions that you could join.
Want to take it easy, have a chat and a coffee and play a few relaxed rounds? Easy - we're a friendly and engaging club with players of all different levels.
Membership fees
Full Members - $150 per year ($120 for 1st year)
Students - $50 per year
Social Members - $30 per year
Full Membership gives full access to the facilities with play on any day.
Social Membership is for those who wish to maintain an association with the club but do not play on a regular basis. They are only entitled to three days play per season outside of social occasions.
Green Fees - $5 per day on club days ($10 for Visitors). Members of other clubs and family of club members pay $5 each time they play and must be accompanied by a club member.
